Taken from the Irish meaning ‘honour’, the four members of Onóra(Pronounced On-Oh-Ra) are no strangers to the Kerry music scene. Their eclectic mix of talent and their fresh sound, make them one of the most exciting and unique groups to be heard in the county from some time.
Local Beaufort and Killarney musicians, Brendan O'Connor, Patrick O'Connor and Kieran Healy are joined by lead vocalist Helena Connolly from Lisnaskea, Co Fermanagh. All four members are very accomplished musicians in their own right but have been playing together as a group since 2005 and are already making an impressive mark on the local music scene.
Their Debut album, “Future in the Past”hit local record stores late last year and the band has been overwhelmed by the reaction to the album so far.
Describing their music as a mix of traditional and contemporary Irish, folk and country, Onora’s unique blend of old and new promises something to suit all tastes! Catch them at Puck – A band not to be missed!
