Countdown is on to Puck Fair 2010. King Puck has been caught and is currently been cared for by the goatcatcher Frank Joy in preparation for his crowning next week. He is taking life easy, dining on a healthy diet of fine herbs and grass and being treated in the style accustomed to that of royalty.
Final plans are being put in place for a great festival which will kick off early morning with the horse fair located in Evan’s field, Tralee road on August 10th. A great nightly entertainment line up is in place with Dublin band 'The Las Vegas Showband taking to the stage on Gathering day, followed on August 11th by The Walls supported by 'Killarney band 'REVERSE'and on Scattering night De Dannan returning to Killorglin having played to packed audience previously in 1991
Throughout the three days of the festival there is a variety of family friendly entertainment. We have our traditional competitions, Bonny Baby, Pet Show and Fancy Dress. Please keep an eye out for our street entertainers, JP Puppets, Scooby Circus, Figo The Magician & Wobbly Circus Productions. Enjoy our musical treats such as Crossriver Band, Dr. Fox's Old Timey String Band, Lonradh, Kell & The Blue Belles.
The festival will close with a stunning fireworks display at 12 midnight.
